Year of the Yin Earth Pig

2019 is the year of the Yin Earth Pig or Brown Pig.
5th February 2019 until 24th January 2020 according to the Lunar calendar.
4th February 2019 is the beginning of the solar Chinese calendar year.

The foundation of the Chinese Horoscope is the Yin Yang Five Elements system, Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. 2019 is the Earth element and is associated with brown, orange and yellow colours.

Good Relationships: Secret Friend - Tiger, Allies - Rabbit and Sheep(Ram/Goat)
Conflicts with: Pig, Monkey and Snake

Forecast for the Year of the Yin Earth Pig Symbol - Flying Stars (Generalised):

Chinese New Year is celebrated on 5th February 2019 BUT you make your Flying Star changes on February 4th.

One of the most intriguing aspects of Feng Shui is called the Flying Stars system. Each year energies change bringing in good & bad influences & are identified as “Flying Stars”
Good stars are Romance, Luck, Wealth, Good Fortune, Future Prosperity & the aim is to enhance & strengthen them to achieve the most benefit from them by supporting them with the appropriate colours & elements. Likewise we avoid colours & elements that weaken them.
Bad or malevolent stars are Illness, Arguments, Robbery, Misfortune & we make changes to weaken their effect & reduce their impact.

2019 will be a challenging year for most of us financially as the #8 WEALTH star is trapped in the CENTRE of your house/business this year so it is important to activate this sector to weaken the negative aspects and enhance the potential benefits and protect existing wealth.

Left un-corrected it could cause major loss of wealth and financial disaster as it is influenced by the #5 star of MISFORTUNE in the Southwest where it is particularly unstable this year.

You are particularly vulnerable if your bedroom, office or front door is in the Southwest, South, Southeast or Northeast as these are the negative/harmful stars.

Snakes are also more likely to be disadvantaged in 2019 so placing the cures is even more important for those born in the year of the Snake.

It is possible to re-use some of last years cures again this Year BUT you must discard the 6 I Ching coins, salt cure and Bagwa mirror used in 2018 as these will have retained a lot of negative energy from the work they needed to do in 2018.
***
Below I refer to specific types of colours, here’s a summary ;
FIRE colours – red, purple, pink
WATER colours – blue, black, greys, charcoal
EARTH colours - – yellow, orange, ochre
METAL colours – silver, gold, copper, white
WOOD colours – green, brown

#1 STAR OF LUCK – WEST
The THREE KILLINGS are here this year, (sickness, loss of reputation, loss of wealth). Do not sit with your back to the West this year. Keep this area quiet and avoid loud noises. Generally, a good star and is particularly beneficial to all females this year. Place a Bagwa mirror here if there are poison arrows affecting this sector. A dragon and phoenix talisman is good here.

Increase Water colours here (blues, blacks, greys, charcoal). If your bedroom is in the West, place a Wu Lu here. Increase metal objects (not sharp things).

Avoid fire colours and objects (reds, purples, pinks, candles etc)

#2 STAR OF ILLNESS – NORTHEAST
This is the source of sickness, bad health and turbulence. Very unstable this year so cures must be placed. You can counter the negative influences of this star by placing 6 I Ching coins tied with a red ribbon and a salt cure in this sector. A statue of Quan Yin would be good, similarly a gold Tsai Shen figurine to protect your wealth.

Increase metal objects and colours here. Place a Wu Lu if bedroom. Place a gold toad, wealth ingot in this sector.

Avoid fire symbols and colours, no candles or bright lights. Check your smoke alarms.

#3 ARGUMENTS - SOUTH
Potential problems with theft, arguments, disputes etc, females need to be extra careful this year. Check all documents carefully before signing anything this year especially if your office is in the South.

Increase fire colours and symbols especially reds, increase lighting to weaken this Wood star. Place a Bagwa mirror above the door, if your door is in the South.

Avoid water and any wind chimes

#4 ROMANCE – NORTH
Relationships, travel, career and creativity are affected by this star. Good things can be expected when this star is activated in this location. If left un-activated you will encourage unwanted as well as wanted romantic energies.

If your door is in the north your chances of travel will be increased this year, enhance this by placing temple lions at the door.

Avoid fire and metal colours and symbols in this sector. No bright lights, candles etc
Increase water colours, keep the area clean and clutter free. Place a Quan Yin statue, mandarin ducks and other romance enhancers (hugging couple, double happiness symbols, dragon headed turtle)

#5 MISFORTUNE – SOUTHWEST
This star brings tragedy, illness, accidents and legal complications. Important to keep this area quiet this year and place 6 I Ching coins tied with red ribbon, a salt cure and increase metal objects, particularly a 6 rod hollow metal chime, in an attempt to weaken this star. The use of a water feature outside in this sector is good for the next few years.

Avoid fire symbols and colours. No bright lights, candles etc. Avoid earth colours.
Increase metal colours and substantial metal objects here, e.g brass Wu Lu, gold Dragon. Water colours are good, a statue of Tsai Shen. Place a Bagwa mirror over your door if it is in this area.

#6 GOOD FORTUNE – EAST
This star is good for finances and career and should be activated to increase your chances of success this year especially if your main door or bedroom is in in this sector. A dragon and phoenix talisman is good here.

Use earth colours, Quartz crystals, faceted leaded crystal hangings.

Avoid fire colours and symbols, no candles

#7 ROBBERY/ VIOLENCE – SOUTHEAST
The fighting star which causes burglary, deception, gossip and back stabbing. Unstable this year so check your security and smoke alarms. A nine tier pagoda will give extra protection against the mischievous nature of the Grand Duke who is watching from the Northwest, place a Pi Yao here facing the Northwest to counter him.If your main door is here, hang a Bagwa mirror above it.

Increase water colours and symbols.

Avoid earth and fire colours and symbols and Quartz crystals. Avoid candles, no metal chimes as the area needs to be kept quiet.

#8 WEALTH – CENTRE
Potential issues with this star being trapped in the Centre blocking the energy so it needs to be activated to strengthen the other stars. Use Quartz crystals, faceted lead crystals, crystal lotus flowers and romance enhancers like Rose Quartz, mandarin ducks etc to strengthen relationships. Good position for the three legged Toad, Tsai Shen and a pair of Rose Quartz hearts.

Increase fire colours although use alternatives to red where possible.

Avoid heavy metal objects here this year

#9 FUTURE PROSPERITY – NORTHWEST
The Grand Duke resides here this year, you need to place a Pi Yao in the Southeast, facing the Northwest to “stare down” the Grand Duke and avoid the mischief he can cause.
Figurines of the Fu, Lu and Shou will boost the energy in this area in 2019. Place a Wu Lu and eight I Ching coins in this sector. Also wealth ingots, Arowana fish and a laughing Buddha with a Ruyi are good additions here
