Goddess Coventina gracefully reclines above a water spring as she cradles an urn of life giving water in her arms, which she pours back to the earth; so maintaining the cycle of life.
She is closely linked with the goddess well in Carrawburgh Roman Fort, at Hadrian�s Well in Northumberland, Britain ( AD 410).
Goddess Coventina is also known as Covventina or Cuhvetena. Being a water nymph, she was associated with the life giving qualities that water brings us, such as healing and abundance.
She was worshipped in Roman, Celtic, Scottish and Spanish societies. An original design by Annie.
