Epona with Horse, Also known as the Celtic Rhiannon
Goddess of Horses, Animals and Fertility.
Epona figurines have been documented since 300 BCE. She was widely known and followed in Gaul, Germany, Britain, Greece, Africa, Spain and Yugoslavia, to name a few.
Her statue was found in stables and in homes. She is often seen sitting side saddle on a mare ( the woman�s position) and is accompanied by a foal. Epona was associated with nurturing, fertility and abundance.
