AKSHOBHYA
BUDDHA statue
Peace
Akshobhya was a monk who vowed never to feel anger or disgust at another being. He was immovable in keeping this vow, and after long striving he became a Buddha. He touches the earth with his right hand facing in, this is the gesture used by Buddha when he asked the earth to bear witness to his enlightenment. Akshobhya holds a vajra in his left hand. The vajra is a symbol of diamond like clarity, strength and compassion.
