This sage, also known as Desert Sage or Big Sagebrush is used on a regular basis by the Native Americans in the mornings for prayer and meditation. Smudging is the sacred ceremony of cleansing yourself and others with smoke from certain herbs.
Sagebrush can be used for welcoming in the new day, or cleansing the body, home or workplace.
Sage brush can be burnt in a ceramic bowl or shell or sprinkled on to an already existing fire source.
