The ancient gods of Egypt such as Anget, Ptah, Osiris, Ra and Isis all carried the Ankh sign.
This was believed to represent the breath of eternal life. The Ankh was associated with the givers of life such as water, sun and air.
Anubis is often seen offering the Ankh as a symbol of life in the after world.
The Ankh was also seen as an amulet of protection.
