Melbourne Landmarks is a poster design project inspired by the distinctive architecture of Melbourne’s Arts Centre and Royal Exhibition Building. The project explores how architectural details, patterns and shapes can be translated into graphic compositions, using repetition, colour and geometric forms to capture the character of each landmark. By simplifying and reinterpreting these visual features, the posters create a contemporary take on familiar Melbourne buildings while maintaining a connection to their original architectural forms. The final series brings together research, observation and graphic experimentation to celebrate Melbourne’s built environment through visual communication.
